FERAL
BIO
A lifelong artist born and raised in Peoria, IL, both Feral's psychedelic artwork and surrealist poetry act as a window to the innermost parts of their mind. They are influenced by the works of Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keeffe and Audre Lorde. Feral can be found tucked into the corner of a local coffee shop, sipping an americano with their nose in a good book, or traipsing about the forests of Central Illinois, foraging with their pockets full of herbs and fungi.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a quiet artist from Peoria, who prefers to let my artwork do the talking for me. I primarily work with spraypaint, a medium I fell in love with as a teenager. I never know what the final product will look like, often diverging from the initial sketch and allowing the art to develop itself. My art is based on nature and folklore, with a touch of psychedelia.
